Days Of Future Past vs. The Time Machine

I agree with him that it sounds ''organic''. It just needs a harmony part. Steve would do it, for sure. For me - DOFP's chorus is one of Bruce's best.

Days Of Future Past vs. The Time Machine

Great songs indeed, big fan of them. I should say DOFP because everything sounds so great, fresh and classic - but that empty middle part is a missed opportunity and anticlimatic. TTM, on the other hand, has such an awesome and memorable instrumental section. A proggy song with a really cool...

    Bruce Dickinson

Bruce has updated the vest, the trousers and the hat with a ponytail. It works, but last year was more metal. I also think Philip is using a new black Flying V. Haven't seen footage from all songs, but so far no changes to the screens or the stage set like he mentioned in some interview.

    Bruce Dickinson

Footage of some songs, including Shadow and Gods Of War (Bruce is having so much fun with the Taiko drums, camera from the above... I wish they were for Eternity): Shadow is such a special song. I really miss a proper solo. The heavy riff is immense live (and sounds better than on the album!)...

    Bruce Dickinson

Yeah, but it's not more popular, the album has insane vocals. The song fits Bruce's solo show really well. And Steve is not a fan of it, iirc. He is the boss. I know with a big band with hits like Maiden is different, but maybe Steve doesn't want to play that many different old songs live. Bruce...

https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/bruce-dickinson/2025/house-of-blues-anaheim-ca-635b7a43.html The setlist for the 1st night was odd. The band is flexible though. What were the 2 Taiko drums for? Were they used? For later? Or for the new album?

Expected. It seems Bruce won't play a co-written Maiden song during his solo shows.

    18th Studio Album discussion

Another/a potential hint? Bruce: ''Next year is kind of busy for several other things, which will make people very happy, especially in North America, but I shall say no more because my manager will kill me... This Maiden tour is doing incredible in Europe. In 2026, it's kind of an open secret...

https://loudwire.com/bruce-dickinson-iron-maiden-solo-career-more-balls-to-picasso-interview/ Another interview with something curious: In April this year, I spent basically the month of April in demo studios in L.A. with the band. We demoed, I think we're down to about 18 songs demoed as...

    Bruce Dickinson

Spot on, in everything. Bruce's solo approach is different in all aspects from Maiden. We know he changes his opinions, it happens, and he and Steve certainly have different opinions, but it's a band. Let's see if he plays Sonata live. Btw, Maiden can ignore audience's wishes, if they want to...

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

LOTB is unique and spectacular Maiden, but RFYL is definitely more impressive than TFP imo. Ofc both are cool in their own ideas. A logical next step from the band. The next one is screens plus (bigger) props, more side screens and that's it. Or more than 1 screen art for a song, moving or not...

    Bruce Dickinson

Bruce about his live set (WB inspired Mandrake's comic): I’m not one for punishing the audience with songs they don’t deserve. The idea of a great live show, it’s not a lecture. It’s not the teacher wagging his finger, saying, ‘You should have bought this album and damn it, you’re gonna listen...

    Bruce Dickinson

Of course, by why would he want to continue writing with the same theme of Mandrake, it's not a sequel album, right. But if these old ideas were solely written by him and are good, why not. I understand what you mean, and he said maybe though. The band will further work on them. He will discard...

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

Bruce: ''This new tour of ours, which will be coming Stateside, is the most incredible thing we’ve ever done, and people will be blown away by it. This tour has been revelatory, really, in how much fun we’re having on stage. It’s evident in everybody’s playing, and, for what it’s worth, all the...

Now we’re refining the demos.'' A couple...

    Bruce Dickinson

Regarding the new album, I'm curious about Bruce's theme/s, not only for the cover but for the songs, would it be a bit unifying like Mandrake (without a comic, or we can add TOS and TCW, ofc) or more diverse. A strong main theme/aesthetics for sure.
  17. Kalata

    Bruce Dickinson

True, but that wasn't an issue for TOS, even though they didn't tour for the album. Or for BTP, recorded with one band and toured with different musicians. I'm starting to think Roy invited his friends to play on the album without Bruce knowing. One musician can overshadow another, for sure...

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

I think not. And Nicko could be more vocal, as we know from the 90's, but it was a different situation back then. Roy too. Ofc one can't be sure, Nicko's joke about some of Bruce's timing issues was probably not that funny to him, he knows that, but we know from past interviews that Bruce...

    Bruce Dickinson

In this interview, Bruce was asked if there could be potential guests on the new album like Adrian or Roy: ''There are no plans for that at the moment, I have 2 great guitar players, a great keyboard player. I mean, we wrote all the songs between us, did everything up, so. Nobody would object...

NO PRAYER FOR THE DYING - Your thoughts…

It's a solid and very decent Maiden album (more than half of the it is good), but I'm not sure. The material isn't epic (lyrically and musically, the cover too; the closer is basically unfinished; the next album improved on that, more or less), that interesting or that good enough compared to...
