Thanks for sharing the video. The band sounds really good, but the vocal performance was quite rough in places.
Edit: The keytar solo on Laughing in the Hiding Bush is hideous.
I was going to ask how you knew they were going to appear together and then saw that you can pay to have your photo taken with both of them together.

Fucking hell!
It might be in some sections, but my tickets for Metallica at London Stadium are cheaper than what I had to pay to see Maiden at the same venue this year (in both cases, seats in the upper tier section).
They played in a field outside the city adjacent to a youth hostel (it was a one-off festival), but it gave me a perfect excuse to enjoy all its Roman wonders with my better half and some good friends. Merida is a great place!
You were wrong (thankfully) about the tour but you probably have a point regarding album sales. I went to my local HMV today and the Smith/Kotzen CD was in the Offers section, with £5.50 knocked off the original price. They had several copies of the album on sale…
James Dean Bradfield usually jokes about only having one stage move, turning around on one leg. Someone has made a gif of it and it looks hilarious.
The prices of some of those concerts is absolutely outrageous. It is not the first time in recent times that The Who have been in that situation of playing to half-empty venues as a result.
I know very well how the music business works, thank you, but if the band fee is high and the promoter does not want to lose money, tickets are going to be expensive.
Possible exceptions to this could be a significant amount of corporate investment to promote some product, or public money...
