NO PRAYER FOR THE DYING - Your thoughts…

Would love to, but that album is just filled with noise. Heh. Heh.

Kevin Shirley - What do you dislike about his work with Maiden? (if you do)

And that guy just might be named Tony Newton. Ugh.

Poll: Dance of Death vs. Hell on Earth?

That's a tough one. They are both 10/10 songs in my book, so I can't really articulate fully why I prefer DoD to it, but I just know in my gut that I do. I think it has to do with the buildup in the song and the abundance of melodies in combination with a set of lyrics I find compelling, which...

Sir, this is the Arguments thread, not the Statements thread. :D I take it you are referring to some movie?

The best run of 3 Maiden albums from the 80's?

I went with those as well. I'd say I rate Powerslave-7th Son higher, but I find Beast-Powerslave be more of an embodiment, somehow.

BLACK SABBATH DISCOGRAPHY RANKING GAME: #13 REVEALED

It has, as usual, some great riffing. But the songs don't hold up in large part due to a lack of hooks and vocal lines and melodies that don't gel with the music.

Poll: The weakest 80's Maiden album?

Yes? The screeching 2khz stuff, that just ruins not only the guitar sound but the vocals in particular, is mitigated, the bottom is nicely compressed etcetera.

Poll: The weakest 80's Maiden album?

Yeah, but the 2015 remaster does away with the worst offending components.

That sounds prerecorded to me, if I had to guess. There is a clear difference in stereo image, there is more bottom energy in Ides overall, the cymbals sound clearly different, the snare is more prominent etcetera. The point about the guitar feeding back is a significant counter-argument, though...

    Black Sabbath

Perhaps, yes, but not any more out of place than Guns n Roses. Steve Harris, however, would have fit right in. He, like Geezer, has a prominent playing style and have influenced plenty players, and I'm my memory seems to recall Steve has cited him as an early infuence.

    Black Sabbath

... And I kind of get it. Don't get me wrong, Sharon took it way too far with the egging and fucked the fans over, just way out of line, but this is meant to be a celebration of Ozzy and Black Sabbath. Let's face it, Bruce mouthed off and acted like a prick, and you reap what you sow. Do I...

Well, if they want a breather, why the hell would they let Occam on stage with a razor? I'd get mighty stressed if I were them. :D
