You are absolutely correct. IMC will not be part of the sale however the buyer has the right to move the site along with Maidenfans under the provision that should Mav return he regains all rights to the site to do with as he wishes. At the end of the day if the IMC does not remain pat of MF...

This is all well and good in theory but theres still only three or four people here talking about this and less saying they can actually afford to contribute. The monthly contributions model has already proven troublesome or I wouldn't be here talking about selling.

Exactly, there is plenty scope for the site actually paying for itself it just needs people with the time and knowledge to get things in motion. I did at one point offer forum hosting for a small monthly fee but nobody was interested.

My thoughts on a community purchase are that it sounds a good idea in principle and I wouldn't be against it but you really need to think long term about how it would work. Whos bank account does the server bill come out of? If everyone agrees to share the cost fine thats great but what if one...

I can only assume that they don't want to acknowledge fans who "may" be professional artists in a competition like this. Still you'd think theyd offer them a chance to do single artwork, t-shirt artwork or something?

Thanks to all of you. We reached our target for December today thanks to you all :) I will look into subscriptions and alternative payment currencies. The money gets converted to pounds to go into my account. I only put the button up in dollars so I could do the math easier :)
