That's the perfect setlist for a North American audience, although even in Berlin people went to grab a beer at the quiet parts of Rime and SSOASS, which I found weird.
Honestly, Rime and Seventh Son will not be replaced, no way. IF they replace anything, it could be Clairvoyant with Evil or something like that. Maybe they could replace 2 mins. They won't replace the centerpieces of the set. Performance wise, I'd replace Aces/Hallowed but that's not gonna...
After seeing the tour 4 times in total, I can safely say, I'm glad it's over for now. I had a good time at every gig ( Berlin was the best), but overall it's the worst Maiden tour I've seen live.
The best moments were all Bruce's vocals (Seventh Son, Rime, Powerslave) or Dave's solos (...
I don't get the stadium hype. Venues like Waldbuehne, Ziggo Dome and of course the O2 are ten times better.
I've seen this year's tour at a stadium and at Waldbuehne (with a smaller screen and everything). It's a lot better in a smaller venue, always.
Such a tiny TV today at Waldbuehne. Not gonna lie, I preferred it to the massive screen. The only downside was that they didn't do the Hallowed trick ( no Bruce being chased by the reaper ).
Bruce was a lot better this time around, even Aces High was passable. The MVP of this tour has to be...
It depends on the concept and the setlist. If the do a reunion tour, I'm pretty sure they will sound fantastic.
Bruce can't sing Aces High, but he can sing every reunion song, no problem. In general, if they make correct choices, they still have at least 10 years. They're still a very good live...
I have another idea...Create a setlist that consists of 4-5 hits-staples (IM is one of them), 5 never played-live songs (or played on one tour) and 7 songs that are rarely played (or less if you pick many lengthy songs). I really want to see your setlists.
This would be mine:
