I listened to the single version and the 6 minute edit just now. They're both much better than the album version, no doubt about that. If we got either of those versions, this song still would've been one of the weaker Maiden tracks, but it wouldn't be egregiously bad.

Yes, but what would reused parts be worth to the listener, musically? Usually nothing. It's not a reference or a callback, it's almost identical in some cases.

The more I listen to this track, the more I'm sure that they should've cut 4:39-6:15 wholesale. Just get rid of all of it. It's very derivative and repeats too many times. I think the muddiness issue is more because there are 3 guitarists and they don't play the rhythms tightly enough. The production overall is great IMO, the druma and bass sound killer.

Yeah, a lot of Harris songs have this issue. A lot of lines on this album sound grammatically incorrect and forced.
