That latest post by Maiden with the wind blowing and the flyer flapping about sure looks like the start of an animated music video to me… Guessing first track of the album and ambient intro before all hell breaks loose.
Leaning towards something like that myself. Bruce has always said that he feels they didn’t do it 100% with the concept, just took it halfway and then dropped it. Maybe he wants to rectify that and bring the full story home? Makes sense.
That’s a good bet I think! I don’t live in the U.K so don’t know the local restrictions. I think it’s a pretty decent theory though. The poster does look like a flyer for a live gig to my eyes.
Ok, pure speculation here:
Maiden will do a secret/warm up gig on Shepard’s Bush Empire the 15th of July under the moniker Belshazzar’s Feast. Featuring a new single and some classics.
This has been done in the past by Maiden, so nothing new. The new thing is the social media marketing and the...
No idea, I don’t get the connection, but as soon as I do - probably facepalm moment…
I know that they’ve played there in the past, but other than that? Secret gig already done or planned to go ahead? Live stream? No clue…
What a bummer if this turns out to be a live session with songs we’ve already heard a hundred times… I really hope that’s not the case. Or are they playing the new album live in a theater and releasing it before the actual album? Doesn’t make sense… Also, how would pandemic travel restrictions...
Quality over quantity for me. Rather have 8 great songs than 14 half baked songs that sounds like the guys are just jamming ideas.
Would really appreciate if they put some more effort in editing and thinking the songs through. Length for the sake of length is not always the best way to go...
Can I Play is most probably some 80’s harmonizer/pitch shifter FX going on. Sounds a bit like the Rocktron Intellifex rack unit I had years and years ago.
No notes in the booklet on guitar synths what I can see, so could be right. Wished they’d played it like they do now with Adrian on guitar with a delay. The synth thing sounds just out of place to me, but great song despite that little wrinkle
