The problem isn't that the chorus is the same line repeated over and over again, the problem is the entire chorus being repeated over and over again.

Seriously man, just like Janick says in the interview "Your playing channels your personality" or something to that extent, not his exact words but that's the gest. He is a messy incoherent human being ;P

Not a matter of not being able to understand English but more of Janick not seemingly able to put his thoughts into word in a more elaborated and acurate form.

That's a different story. Especially you can't compare that studio recording to a live recording which changes the way a song is originally sang on record. Two different things here. We are talking about live performances, remember?

True I recognize that singing what he is singing on a constant basis live is way too demanding. But I'm not merely talking about high notes but also the way he speaks out the words. He goes up and down and up and down in a whiny, near sarcastic, almost mocking tone.

On a related note, I feel that Bruce didn't truly appreciate the band he was in until after he rejoined it. He is way more passionate and takes his position as a frontman for Maiden way more serious than he ever did.

I'm sorry but I think Bruce absolutely sucked throughout the 80's in his live performances after Beast Over Hammersmith (which was fantastic). He sings so false, it's like he's trying to parody himself. I can't ever listen to Live After Death because of Bruce.

These Colours is very emotional. The instrumental part that kicks in right after the second chorus is something unique. It's a total shift in tempo and mood. This and For the Greater Good of God are the two most emotional tracks on the album.
