The Official Book of Souls Tour 2016 Thread (Warning: Spoilers within!)

Exactly, Portugal is pretty connected to Maiden. Of course Maiden should perform in every possible country in the world, but come on.... PORTUGAL, DAMN IT! :edmetal:

The Official Book of Souls Tour 2016 Thread (Warning: Spoilers within!)

Do you guys know if ALL the dates for the book of souls tour are announced? And, if so, why the hell will the band not come to Portugal? I mean, they always had a huge following here, not to mention TBOS hit #1 over here...

    For Somewhere In Time fans

:grumble: I know. It's just that i honestly can't hear it, especially in CSIT i always thought Bruce's vocals were amazing

    Is Live After Death Overrated?

For some reason the CD version of LAD sounds better to me than the DVD version o_O Dunno if they're different shows or what

    Is Live After Death Overrated?

The thing is, i 100% understand all of that. But... The first Maiden live album i heard (or saw, since it was actually the DVD) was Flight 666. I was blown away. Then i went back after a while and bought LAD (the DVD). I was mega hyped because every fan i personally knew talked highly of it...

    For Somewhere In Time fans

I really understand that after a tour like World Slavery the guy's voice would be kind of shot, i just can't hear it on SIT

    Is Live After Death Overrated?

I totally understand the sentimental value part of listening to music ;) I just think that, being objective, there are indeed better live albums by Maiden. And that is not to say that LAD is bad, i just honestly think there are better ones!

The Book of Souls Album Cover...

    Interesting. Could you elaborate?

The Book of Souls Album Cover...

I totally get your point, but with this album (and i hope this helps you with having an association between artwork and music with this album) i think the mainly dark cover 100% reflects the somewhat dark sound of the songs. I don't know, the first sound we hear on the album is quite dark, so i...

The Book of Souls Album Cover...

The simplicity is what strikes me in the released album cover: You have Eddie, out of the dark, looking at you. Nightmarish. Direct. It's the only Maiden album cover where you simply (and this is in NO WAY an attack against covers like SIT) have Eddie looking at you and vice-versa. There's no...

    Is Live After Death Overrated?

I mean live albums by Maiden, not by other bands in general.

#1 Record? Did you do your duty?

ONLY in terms of number of coutries where it reached #1, The Final Frontier seems to be a bigger success. Not that i care too much about it, but i must admit i got a bit disappointed when i noticed :S

    Maiden's attitude towards new releases

I like the album, i'm actually one of those people who like every single Maiden album for what they are. It's just that there seems to be a bit of lack of enthusiasm on that album from the drumming department, you know?

    Maiden's attitude towards new releases

Yup. There you go! Starts at 4:40

    Maiden's attitude towards new releases

But we've also heard Nicko saying how proud he was of Virtual XI, and i honestly can't really take that seriously

    Maiden's attitude towards new releases

Let's be honest... It's quite common for artists to praise their newest release. Many times because they're still really attatched to it, and other times because of marketing reasons. But in Maiden's case, given the fact that they're one of those few bands who seem to really care about...
