Reflecting on 2015 as a Maiden fan

So as another year is almost done, another year is yet to come, a year that will bring us a much anticipated tour in promotion of an album that was very anticipated as well. But looking back on 2015, as a Maiden fan, it was a really intense year... Since the end of 2014 i was totally convinced...

Where to find original EMI pressings?

Ok, cool. But i'll edit my inital question anyway, since i was asking two questions at once and one of them was more important than the other. I also respect this forum and really hope to keep it under the rules as far as my actions go ;)

The problem with playing SIT songs live - A tabu?

I've always loved your love for SIT and i think i've said it to you a couple of times, but your opinion on SSOASS really caught me off guard  I know it's off topic, but i'd like to at least understand your views on it...

Where to find original EMI pressings?

Sorry, did not know about that rule  I'd prefer you close it then, i don't want to get/start problems for anyone

Where to find original EMI pressings?

I've been wanting to hear them for a while now, and also tempted to buy them and replace my 98 versions... Does anyone know where to find them online for sale? I've already found some, but they're a bit costy, do you know the best place(s) to find them? Thanks!

Connection between Maiden's music and artwork

Of course there's an automatic association post-listen. It's only natural that when i think of a specific album i'm reminded of it's artwork :p What i mean to say is that i strongly believe the band (or whoever gets a final word in this sort of thing) really puts an effort into album covers...

Connection between Maiden's music and artwork

Been thinking about this for a while now... When i listen to any Maiden album, there seems to be a connection between the sound/production/vibe/songs on the album and it's artwork. Even the colours chosen for the cover art seem to connect with the music somehow, and i don't even mean...

New tattoo! Final Session! Big Reveal!

Really cool! And original, as well. It's not like the album cover, and that makes it your own :ok:

    My New Tattoo! First session

Pretty cool that you're actually adding stuff to the new album cover, makes it work much better in tattoo terms :ok:

The problem with playing SIT songs live - A tabu?

Well, if the man's sick i can't really judge him :p But i think nowadays he is a bit more dynamic vocally onstage and in genreal hands higher notes better, i think. Also, i always kind of laugh at that part in Hallowed when Bruce sings "...at my past life" kind of like Axl Rose sings without...

    What's the matter with FOTD?

You know, the over-criticism that some things recieve actually makes it easier for me to listen to those same things with objectivity, because i really want to find out if i agree or not, so that actually opens up my perception to things. Hope this makes sense. And yeah, i totally agree with...

    Is Live After Death Overrated?

You know, that's exactly what i said to myself when i first heard it (or actually saw it, since it was the DVD). I still say that when Aces High begins. But sometime into that first song i actually forget that and i really star to get into the album. Although i still think LAD is overrated, i...

    Blaze Bayley

Although i really appreciate Blaze as a person (once again, he really seems to be a nice guy, humble and all), i have to say that one of the main reasons he does not have more success on his own is the fact that he was so much hated while he was in Maiden (we have to remember that this period...

    What's the matter with FOTD?

Thanks! It's not that i like to create controversy just for the sake of it, it's just that i honestly try to listen to/see things with objectivity. Like Blaze, in a way... When i listen to those two albums he did when he was in Maiden, i never think about Bruce or Paul. I try to see if things...

    Blaze Bayley

Yeah, to me the bottom line is that, without a doubt, Blaze IS playing super small places, and i feel bad for him. I do not think he has or ever had an amazing voice, but he really seems to be a nice guy. And a nice guy who got the biggest of lucks in the world, probably thought for a while that...

    What's the matter with FOTD?

I guess... I mean, it all comes down to opinions, and everyone has one. To me, the album sounds, in a way, more "care-free" (but in a way, to me, that is good). It sounds like something that was made with not THAT MUCH detail and in a way that makes this album standout for me. Mainly because...

The Official Book of Souls Tour 2016 Thread (Warning: Spoilers within!)

Ehehehe yeah, i think me and my massive anticipation alone will be enough to fill the front row  I'm yet to see Maiden live, so i think you can imagine my nerves right now :dancinggeek:

    Blaze Bayley

I genuinely feel bad for Blaze... I mean, he played to gigantic crowds with Maiden and now he's playing in bars and clubs for some semi-drunk people. And he really seems to be a nice guy, which makes it that harder for me to see something like this. Does he seem to be having fun with crowd...

The Official Book of Souls Tour 2016 Thread (Warning: Spoilers within!)

I think so too, considering how in a way Portugal has been kind of a second home for Maiden. But at the same time let's be honest... We can't really say there is any guarantee, you know? :( It's LOGICAL that Maiden will come to Portugal on this tour, not much else... That's why i'm so nervous...
