So Sonata is probably a trainwreck. Eternity has failed is the old song from BOS and not a sequel, didn't like the first two singles. That leaves me with potentially 6 good songs. The prospects of me liking this album is not looking good.
Just Alan Wake. I didn't get far with Control. Somehow that game felt a bit tedious. In general I like horror/adventure games. Some of my all time favorites:
1. Dead Space Trilogy
2. Medium
3. Resident Evil Village
4. Alan Wake
5. Evil Within 2
Looking forward to:
1. Silent Hill
2. Alone in...
Just finished reading through the rest of the pages... that post annoyed me so much that I immediately felt the need to protest. Moving on as instructed by the moderator.
Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed? How do you know what most of us prefer? I like the information I am getting from Mercenary as I wait for the album
It's interesting that you rate even Welcome to the pit higher than Road to hell! For me the harmonized guitars of Road to Hell and the solos are worthy of that track being on any iron maiden album.
I am listening to welcome to the pit right now. I have to say that even though it is weakest song in the album, it's still quite good. I like the bridge and the chorus and the solo is great too. I would have happily taken it as a single for the new album.
Agreed 100%. I would guess that most of us are lifelong maiden fans here.
Regarding the album, is it too much to expect 3-4 songs like abduction, road to hell, the tower etc? I will be very happy if we do.
I totally expected a man of sorrows type ballad from Rain on the graves when I heard the name
Hopefully that last song in the album isn't long because it contains a 5 min rap by Bruce instead of an instrumental section
Greatest heavy metal singer in history, multimillionaire, a legend that could easily get anybody he wants to play the instruments in his solo album and produce it, yet we get all these amateur 1000 usd budget videos. I just don't understand. This new song could have been good with a more...
Wow this is even worse than afterglow. Disliked the verse section. Can't help but feel that all this campy theatrics is a distraction from the music. None of these songs sound polished but this one flows better than afterglow which sounded like various sections stiched together in a home studio...
Fair enough. I am happy if we get some tracks like Road to hell, Abduction, Accident of Birth etc on the album. I am just here for the songs, I don't really care about the comics, video and the whole William Blake stuff.
I still don't hear a smooth transition. All the sections feel a bit patched together. I wish he wouldn't do these ultra high notes when he sounds so amazing in lower register. Was listening road to hell just to remind myself why I loved about the past solo albums
