I agree. Its probably not dominating like on a Elton John song. Its just the instrument he chose, when he started to work on the song. I cant imagine that its just 18 minutes of piano and vocals. :)
Woooow! Impressed by that new song. Did not except that. He sounds better then he has done a long time.
I will definitely be checking out this album.

Just dug out Accident of Birth again. Man this is such a excellent record!!! I had forgotten on how great it was.
I have always preferred Chemical Wedding, but this album is also brilliant.
I don't listen to them as much as there old stuff,but there are some good tunes on there recent albums.
What ruins the experience for me, is there need to continue with the Celtic slow intro/outro,repetitive chorus ( Virtual XI style) songs like No More Lies, When the Wild Wind Blows.
Nobody can replace them, but it’s at least a comfort, that they have managed to put out so many studio, and live albums for us to revisit.
Hopefully there will be some outtakes, and rarities coming our way, after the band split up.
Montségur its an overlooked gem. It could easily been on the Powerslave album.
I was extremely disappointed that it was skipped live, in favor of the Virtual XI-ish No More Lies.

Not their best, but there is a lot of great songs on this album. It was the first Maiden album I bought, so it has a very special place in my heart.

There are some cool guitar solos, and I don’t mind the lyrics, but the music just feels a bit predictable to me. The vocal melody sounds very familiar with a lot of the stuff from the reunion/Blaze albums, and I think it lacks a proper climax. I was hoping this song...
