Buff was an animal in game 5. He played with a mean streak I've never seen from him before. Let's hope he carries it with him to Philadelphia. God knows he'll need it if they wanna win it there.
Re: Discussion thread for ENTIRE new album! FULL details and new song to download!
I've been so busy that this is the first I've seen it. Holy shit. GO FASTER. STUPID CONNECTION.
Wow. This is excellent. I'm gonna have to absorb this all night.
The most important thing to keep in mind is that Chicago is up 2-1 in this series and dropped Wednesday's game in overtime, all when they've been playing rather poorly. The varsity line hasn't done much, but like the Kane goal showed, all it takes is one breakaway for them to put the puck in the...
Yeah, that post game interview was pretty funny, I will admit that. I liked what Eager said more, however, in response to the puck issue that netted the two of them misconduct penalties.
So far, this game has been Stanley Cup hockey at it's finest. I can't remember the last time I watched the Hawks throw their bodies around like this and instigate so much. Fortunately, their keeping their composure pretty well, per routine.
In other news, Chris Pronger is still an asshole.
That was one hell of a game. And a testament to how deep Chicago is and how much heart and drive the Flyers have. That was a Stanley Cup game at it's finest.
Go Hawks!!
Although that would be a great set, it's far, far too lengthy. Also, there's no way they get out of before the encore without playing more than 1 song from the 80s.
I would love to see that set, though, so I give you credit there.
Agreed. The more people get angry about them the more publicity they get. Honestly, nobody should be surprised by anything they do at this point. They may believe in and say some really terrible things, but they're primarily passive nuisances more than anything that should be simply disregarded.
I love looking back on the years when Edmonton wasn't a bottom feeder. In other words, the pre-Gretzky-in-LA years. Man, that was a long time ago.
I'm really looking forward to this series... not just as a Hawks fan, but as a hockey fan. These two teams make a really interesting matchup, and...
I'm a little skeptical too. That might be because I'm holding out hope that they'll play more obscure classics instead of doing one song from each album. Nonetheless, until I hear they've done a song from every one I'm not buying it.
This is sort of why I don't think they'll do one from each...
I'm not disagreeing that hockey players or on the whole tougher during the contest, or that some sports certainly coddle their athletes at times. I'm just saying it's a lot different for every sport. Hockey has s culture of toughness unlike anything. Also, there's moments in every sport where a...
I agree about the Keith part. He was a warrior tonight. Hockey has become more and more appealing this last decade because people are realizing the grit of the sport...
However, if you've pitched with a blister before, it's horrible. You'll also see guys go on the shelf with badly cracked nails...
Toews is definitely proving that. He reminds me a lot of Joe Sakic, although he'll likely never play like Sakic did in the regular season.
I didn't realize there weren't any foreign (non-US/Canadian) officials. Good for the NHL. For a league that's full of players from all around the world...
Absolutely. For a veteran, that slash during the face off was inexcusable. It's definitely a good sign for the Hawks that an alternate captain is cracking.
The 62 series Cadillac at the beginning of Orson Welles' "Touch of Evil" is so sick. That vehicle was the definition of suave. It's sad that they had to blow it up ::)
