First night of this leg of the tour.
Miscues like this are common, given the above.
Are some of the dramatic reactions in this thread hyperbole, trolling, attempts at comedy, or a mix of all three?
I draw the line at ANYONE throwing cups of ANY liquid into the crowd.
what a tosser.
Total disrespect for every musician whose been hit by bottles/projectiles from idiots in the audience.
Would love to see a breakdown like this for Rush, Yes, Genesis (especially in regards to Tony Banks' subtly complex key shifts on his keys), Jethro Tull ... the list goes on!
IOA's "Rush sounding" middle break is in 7/4, no?
Not surprised by the over-reliance on E Minor on AMOLAD - I've always found that album to be a bit too "samey" to listen to all in one sitting.
SiT - Senjutsu connections (I'll start with the most obvious and progress to the least obvious)
The Time Machine - Somewhere in Time: I'd feel like Captain Obvious if I bloviated and explained the link here
The Parchment - Alexander the Great: Although I'm nearly convinced that TP concerns...
I've read many posts about how Janick plays lines that harmonize with Bruce's voice. These are especially noticeable on Book of Souls (Title Track), the pre-chorus to Lost in a Lost World, and the final stanza sections in The Parchment.
Is Janick solo responsible for all of these lines across...
might get a few people to put down their cell phone cameras for a few minutes too.
them be some powerful lyrics too - would help to let "the casuals" know just how epic the songwriting has become.
the song is unconventional and lacks a chorus - and for these reasons its greatness evaded me for 4-5 listens. Reading the lyrics helped me connect with the grand scope and grandeur of the song however.
It would be a shame if more casual fans miss out on the greatness of The Parchment merely...
This may sound silly but think on it for a minute ... many of us agree that sections of The Parchment are among the most EPIC that Iron Maiden has ever composed (from both a musical and lyrical standpoint) - but the verses/stanzas have proven difficult to memorize, and thus would be a challenge...
Hopefully some bands that are facing difficulties in touring may be able to take on the higher travel and logistical expenses since band members who took additional classes or college coursework in the past will now have their student loans waived.

And AMOLAD? Fantastic performances, vocals beautiful or aggressive depending on the calling of each section of the songs. Unbridled passion and the excellence we've come to expect from Iron Maiden from day 1.
But ... (and a fairly big but): many transitions that are jarring. The transitions and...
