Well, one of the bands started out very slow, the other one has been going slowly for the past 30 years. :D Queensryche were arguably the top band of the genre around the release of Mindcrime and Empire, though.

Scorpions vs Iced Earth was a tough one for sure. I went with Scorpions because of Klaus but Barlow also slays on that IE track.

If I had put in an actual Stratovarius classic instead of this newer song they would be winning against an early Queensryche filler track.

I've heard the album two times now, and it's... kinda disappointing. I'm a bit surprised since I was a big fan of A Paranormal Evening the moment it came out. This new one sounds like watered down Edguy. Speaking of Edguy, now would be a good time to resurrect that band.

The Dark Eternal Night is a nice, heavy track. Far from my favorite though. Also thank heavens there aren't any death growls in it.

Octavarium is a masterpiece. It's so diverse that I would argue it might be their best album to recommend to a newcomer.

I like this album, the title track actually makes it into my top 25 Sabbath songs.

I certainly do, the vocals are what got me into the band.

I like both of those two a lot. I actually like Ghost more the more commercial and poppy they go.
