Great to hear it from a Canadian. It's always funny to read that Americans won the war that had already been won when they decided to step in, lol.

When I heard Priest this year, Rob sounded horrible to me :((( He cannot sing since 2000 I guess. He can only scream - even Angel :(((

As musch as I like Maiden stuff, I prefer Bruce's. Maybe because his heavenly voice sounds way better when sings his own songs. Or Roy's.

I like the sound they make since 2000, in 80-s Steve's bass was way too much, all melodies got lost in his bass line, and I hate it in fact. After the reunion the bass became much more reasonable and to the point, imo. They have much more ballads now, e.g. Journeyman was impossible in the 80s...

That's the problem with long-term nerds... I became a fan only 2 yrs ago, so all Maiden albums were equally new to me. And I preferred BOS at once to all their albums. As well as the reunion era to the 80-s. Whereas long-term fans get a professional defect - they always tend to be mad about new...

I think they are doing very well without being ridiculous unlike Judas Priest or Helloween who look a total disaster on stage with all their leather costumes and serious faces trying to be as metal as they can.

Does anyone remember the concert (97 or 99, I'm not sure) when a fan came on stage, and Bruce's reaction was like he started laughing. I cannot find this video now.

Bruce's perfomance of FTGGOG is awesome, much better than the studio version. I don't want it to be dropped. All in all Maidens gigs are top notch. I watched Helloween and Judas Priest this year, they are nowhere near Maiden.

I guess we sometimes mistake good songs for good singing. No offence to Dio, he's great. But I cannot listen to his concerts, they sound too monotonous to me :((((

No problem mate, that's just my POV and my perception. When I want to listen to a really good voice, I play this A rock vocalist is much more than just a good singing. Anyway Ronnie is the only rock vocalist that made me doubt for a while whether I really like Bruce more than him :) Bruce won...

His voice sounds all the same to me on every song, sorry mate. Emotions and Ronnie never went together, to say nothing of stage performance. I like his vocals, but there are many great vocalists, very few of them can act on stage, not just sing.

But he's nowhere near as emotional as Bruce. It's easy to sound great when you stand rooted to the spot singing every song with the same voice without trying to show your emotions - that's what I personally never liked about Dio, though his voice is very strong, but opera singers for instance...
