At this point i see Maiden as a live band who sometimes release new songs, however it'd be interesting to hear what they'd come up with without having to worry about whether it would work live or whether they could even play it live, would love an album full of complex Alexander the Great type songs
Ahmed Shah Massoud was telling them for months and was assassinated like the day before the attack IIRC
also Mossad named all the people involved before the attacks too
It sounds more like modern Accept or Grand Mangus trying to play melodic death metal rather than something like With Oden on Our Side. I don't think they'll change that much because it is Amon Amarth after all
Seriously whats up with Jomsviking? do AA not like Death Metal anymore, they sound like a Trad-Metal Revival band now.
I wonder if they are preparing for Johan's voice weakening, change their sound instead of replacing him à la Arch Enemy
The comment about Maiden having 3 guitar players but Priest having always been a 2 guitar band is a bit silly, surely he knows Maiden only had two for 24 years
yeah i don't deny it's influence and agree it's a very exciting album for 1969, but for me it was the 2nd KC Album i heard after Thrak and i couldn't hear any difference in music quality so i never understood why it was so acclaimed
1. Red
2. Starless and Bible Black
3. Larks' Tongues In Aspic
4. Discipline
5. In the Wake of Poseidon
ITCOTCK would probably come 6th, although i would put it behind other Fripp related albums.
i do like it but i just can't see why it's always seen as one of the "Greatest Albums Ever"
No Meddle or Tago Mago?, Also where's Neu!?
In the Court of the Crimson King has to be one of the most overrated albums ever, wouldn't even put it in my top 5 King Crimson albums
