    Your First Iron Maiden Album/Experience?

I don't really have a first memory per se, their music just gradually entered my world while I was still quite young. My brother just to bring home a lot of metal during the mid 80s, with stuff like maiden, Accept, AC/DC, Judas priest etc. (I remember the first tape I got from him as my own was...

    TBOS Tour Predictions

I'm still open to the idea of Harris blank out refusing to tune down so that we're left without eternity...thought maybe something like this, if that is the case: 1. Speed of light 2. Death or glory 3. 2 minutes to midnight 4. The trooper 5. Tears of a clown 6. The red and the black 7. The...

Disc 1 vs Disc 2 (yeah, Travis is going to kill me)

Man of sorrows is the only song that's not clicking for me on the album (but then again, it took like three years for me to fall in love with the man who would be king, so I'm sure it'll get there...) so I still stand by disc one for that simple reason.

    The Great Unknown

The red and the black is just crammed full of different hooks to my ears, several of them got stuck in my head after the first few listens. A note though, that how easy something sticks in my head and how much I enjoy listening to a song isn't the same thing.

    The Great Unknown

No matter how much I enjoy this song while listening to it (and I do!) I can never remember how i t goes when thinking about it, I don't have this problem with any other song on the album. It's weird because I think it's a good song.

Tournament of Maiden Solos: the Top 10 video!

Talisman and coming home, but clansman is really nice as well. I just felt that talisman is the solo I would listen to most times on it's own, for some reason. And coming home is so beautifully melodic.

    Sanctuary

This is a song I'm having a hard time getting into or enjoying, it's not bad per se but just feels so ordinary and non-maiden (in a bad way). Wish they would syop playing it as an encore, there are way better and more fitting tunes from this period. 3/10

    Iron Maiden: Album Discussion

I actually like the production on this album a lot, even if it's very un-Maiden compared to later releases. It's fuzzy and has a warm bass sound I really like, it makes it feel a lot more dated than the next album but I like that 70's feeling.

    Killers: Album Discussion

The record as a whole suffer quite a bit from the feeling that it's just been thrown together from all bits and pieces lying around. Some old live classics re-recorded, some new songs, some good, some not so good. It feels very unfocused even if a lot of the songs in themselves are very good...

    Drifter

A great live song. Not a great studio song. To me it's the most disappointing last song on any maiden album, they shouldn't have recorded it at all and just have the live versions on the singles as the only versions of it, it certainly works better there. It's not a complete disaster of course...

    Purgatory

For a long time this was my absolute favorite maiden song, the speed, the energy, the melodies and the melancholic feeling in the chorus. Still disappointed they didn't bring it back on the early days tour and slightly confused that quite a few people don't seem to like it at all. Even if I do...

    Prodigal Son

This has grown on me slowly over the years but I still think it's a tad boring, the mood is nice and all but it doesn't grip me as much as I want it to. The annoying thing is that I want to like a lot, I really do, but my mind keep wandering away after a couple of minutes. I have this nagging...

    Killers

A perfect way to start side b! The intro is a classic, and for a reason, a haunting bass line, perfect in it's simplicity and some very emotional guitars and screams on top of that. Bruce have never been able to recreate those screams and I think this is one of Paul's finest contributions to...

    Innocent Exile

Mixed feeling about this one, I know I liked it quite a bit when I was younger and it has some nice parts and a laid back, almost bluesy feeling to it. But these days I'm not that impressed, nothing wrong with it but nothing that special either. It works better on the live in Japan EP. This...

    Genghis Khan

I've always liked this song but I kind of forgot about during the early 00's for some reason and rediscovered it a couple of years ago. I just love Clive's drumming here and the rough second riff, this is one of those songs I'm having a hard time sitting still while listening to, and it doesn't...

    Another Life

One of the hidden gems, I think. The music is very good, a solid riff in the verses and a good intro. And the break always gets me headbanging. But, and it's a big but (I cannot lie) having the same lyrics during all three verses is annoying to no end. How hard can it be to write just a few...
