Studio Album #16 - Rumours and Speculation (New Info 27.02.15)

I understood there were some rumors a while back that Maiden had booked some studio time in Paris.

Can you help me find this Eddie?

I think that 'tree' Eddie looked shit! It looked like it had a rubbish beard and bad hair. Fairly sure that the one they replaced it with was the walk on Ed from the previous tour.

    Blaze Bayley, good or bad?

I can think of a lot of people who think a whole load of weird shit. ;)

    Blaze Bayley, good or bad?

Really ??? Everyone has their own opinions I guess, but that is a bit far out. :wtf:

Studio Album #16 - Rumours and Speculation (New Info 27.02.15)

Yeah, Barnyard Studios, where No Prayer, X Factor and V XI were recorded. His Essex mansion. Think he used it for mixing live vids too. Doubt that Maiden will ever record at his new place in Portugal, but I am sure that when Maiden call it a day, British Lion will continue as a project and use...

I feel I must intervene. You are not allowed to stray from the posted topic! It's in the rules.

Studio Album #16 - Rumours and Speculation (New Info 27.02.15)

Generally agree with you 2Mins. The more recent albums, with their longer tracks and more prog tendencies have taken a few listens before the realization, that they are of the highest order, sets in. I don't expect the new album to revert back to 80's, 8 tracks at around 45 mins, for one...

What do you think is Maiden's most aggressive/energetic song?

Other than what has already been mentioned : Montsegur and Fallen Angel are both fairly heavy, if that fits with "aggressive" . Losfer Words is constantly on the go :rocker: and The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner doesn't let up.

Fear of the Dark was a double vinyl release too. At least here in the UK. ;)

    5th July '14 Knebworth!

Don't know, but there are some great pics on the official Maiden web site if you have not seen those.

    British Lion 2013 Tour

Sadly, couldn't make it this time around. :( Saw them the first time, at Birmingham. Great to be in such a small room with the legend that is Sir Steve.

Maiden continuing without Nicko - right or wrong?

Nickos son is quite handy on the drums. But then again, he might nick all the gear.

    Sanctuary

Great question there, 2 mins. Great answer Perun. Strange I have never considered that before. It works well live, so a good addition to a good song. Thanks for the info guys.

Maiden Studio Albums Released Closest To Your Birthday

I have always understood that Christmas day was the day that Steve decided on the name Iron Maiden. Either way, smells a little bit of a romantic fairy tail....

Maiden Studio Albums Released Closest To Your Birthday

Why close threads for being (in your opinion) pointless ? I think this thread is trivial, but there is a place for trivial banter. A fair few people have replied. It's inoffensive, just a bit of chat. Most conversations (in real life) are pointless, if you over analyze. Pointless chat keeps...

What are your thoughts on Hallowed Be Thy Name being dropped?

Right. I didn't "vote". I am not upset about it. To be honest, there isn't too much to discuss either. Nothing sinister going on. Just giving it a rest I suspect. Something to look forward too, for another time.

What are your thoughts on Hallowed Be Thy Name being dropped?

Why is it a non issue ? It's their greatest song and has not been in the set for a good few years now. Is that not worthy of some discussion ?

What are your thoughts on Hallowed Be Thy Name being dropped?

It is my favorite Maiden track and I have been lucky enough to see it live many times. It is awesome live. Yes, I would always pick it in the set, but there are so many "classics" that something has to give way now and then. Comedy moment at Knebworth : There was a karaoke stage (generally to...

Maiden Tour 2014 (NO SPOILER TAGS, ENTER AT OWN RISK)

No, that's not trolling. Making yourself the butt of the joke ? Kind of a weird attempt at it if so :uhm:
