OK, The Final Frontier tour. Knebworth (festival) nearly 12 months later- arena tour of the UK. Call me optimistic.... Agree about 2017. Big summer gig 2016 and a tour finale in the UK in 2017 would fit.
Donington 88 was billed as the only UK gig. Then followed a tour..... Fear of the Dark at Donington - tour announced after the gig..... More recently, Maiden England, Donington- sold out as the only announced gig, only to be followed by 2 indoor gigs at the O2 London. Off the top of my head...
I predict a large open air gig in the UK this summer. Pray for a Wembley stadium gig, like the Twickers one. Then a handful of arena gigs at the end of the year. Been done before...
