    The Future Past tour 2023

I don't really know why but Geddy was an instant click for me despite its uniqueness. LaBrie and Mustaine however, never tolerated it.

    The Future Past tour 2023

The guy from Iron Maiden Brasil on IG said he talked to Charlie Charlesworth, Nicko’s roadie, and indeed CSIT’s arrangement just before the solo was changed and some of the fills were removed to keep the performance stable and at a better tempo. I do feel FOTD and Trooper are slightly faster...

    The Future Past tour 2023

I’d say early 2022 at most, I think they decided to play the Senjutsu trio at LOTB 2022 after changing plans.

    The Future Past tour 2023

I doubt we would get a SIT tour. Nicko did say in 2021 at a Rock N' Roll Ribs party that the 2023 tour would be the Senjutsu tour and also that Steve asked him not to play Alexander with his band Titanium Tart because they would still play it with Maiden. That just points to a Senjutsu tour with...

    The Future Past tour 2023

It would also help making Maiden England more special with return of some 7th Son songs after a while, even with the same setlist as it happened. But yeah, the way it happened it was basically SBIT pt. II featuring Prisoner and 7th Son (and ATSS). Such a missed oportunity for playing Killers...

    The Future Past tour 2023

I'd say CSIT as well. Ok, being the opener counts, but everyone around me was just shouting the intro riff when it was played on the PA. When the band entered it was madness.

    The Future Past tour 2023

Such a fun setlist. I wish Maiden did more non-album tours like this one and LOTB, with more unorthodox songs picked and more career spanning overall. History idea was nice but Maiden England was just a SBIT part 2 which really sucked imo. I'd personally love a new album and an album tour right...

    They did, yes.

    The Future Past tour 2023

Like Lego said, the Trooper intro fill isn't really that hard, it can be wondered if it is a stylistic choice. But of course, specially on the first 3 shows it was reaally basic. However, I think he already sounded a lot better today, it's concerning but let's watch the tour unfold.

I agree that Parchment would be a better choice but I think that actually Steve was the one that pushed Celts to be played. Might be a little harder, but I bet he likes playing those patterns.

    The Future Past tour 2023

I think he sounded a lot better today actually, but yeah, noticed that on the screens as well. However I think if he wasn't feeling well he wouldn't be there, genuinely think he's enjoying even if playing a little simpler.

Best CSIT version by far. Nicko sounding much better too. (You have to follow Leana on IG to watch).

    The Future Past tour 2023

Davey is imo the biggest positive "surprise" of this tour. Looking much fitter, playing album solos practically note by note and also got his tone really close to the SIT one as well. His solos on CSIT, Alex and Prisoner are sounding great. Made fewer mistakes than Adrian as well.

Unplayed live songs and the future of Maiden: what's next?

Indeed, you’re not wrong. In fact, I actually think they’ll do another hits tour after the future past, in a 50th anniversary tour. I just don’t see the first two albums being first in line for that. I can see a tour revolving around NOTB, if not playing in its entirety, at least 6 or 7 songs...

Unplayed live songs and the future of Maiden: what's next?

Yeah, I even thought about omitting SIT from there, I get your point, but SIT has been considered a cult classic for a while (and a top pick between many diehards) and the whole point of the tour is "bringing justice" to it after being overlooked since it was released. And yeah, it was mostly a...

Unplayed live songs and the future of Maiden: what's next?

I agree, but they aren't legendary to the point of the run of NOTB through 7th Son. And I love the debut myself as well, I just don't see them doing another tour revisiting them once again since the main bulk of their classics aren't in there and I can't see another addition to Iron Maiden and...
