I finally got through but had to queue no less than 5 times! Every time I got through I could select the tickets but it wouldn't put me through to the checkout and would come up with errors. Pathetic company and service, I wish artists would boycott them.

Got regular standing tickets in my basket, completed every step even confirming the transaction with my bank then got kicked out! Not the biggest fan of ticketmaster right about now!

Tickets will probably be available for a decent span of time, standing may go quite quickly though. Generally speaking if you're ready and waiting to grab tickets at the time that they go on sale you will be alright.

We know they like to drag out the history tours :lol:

For what it's worth just anecdotally I know 4 or 5 people who haven't been to an Iron Maiden show before who have said this morning they feel like the London show is the one to go to at last.

My early prediction is something like this, I think it will be a Somewhere Back In Time style crowdpleaser of a set: Iron Maiden – Running Free, Phantom, Iron Maiden Killers – Wrathchild Number of the Beast – NOTB, RTTH, Hallowed Piece of Mind – The Trooper, Revelations Powerslave – 2MTM, Rime...

I'm pretty sure Iron Maiden are associated with Live Nation, who also promote Download, they'd be mental to clash them!

I agree - I could see SIT being skipped over given that it's had it's long deserved time in the sun over this year and last. Maybe Bring your daughter... gets dusted off to represent NPFTD, but I could do without it. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see FOTD being the only post-Seventh Son track.

Most importantly of all, Wrathchild will return.

A play classics set would go down an absolute storm at download. It's always felt quite crazy to me that Somewhere Back In Time never made it there, it would have gone down as one of the all time greatest headline sets of the fest. Seems inevitable that this one will though, either next year or...

If this proves to be true I'm actually very happy with it, I'm down for a straight up classics era tour especially if some rarities resurface. Especially Rime.

A lot of fans going to these Oasis gigs, and stadium gigs nowadays in general which are usually over £100, aren't frequent concert goers and this will be seen as basically a once in a lifetime, or at least a once in a generation, event for them. Basically equivalent to the Eras tour but for 90s...

Something that would actually make the 50th anniversary tour a special one, and allow them to celebrate more of the back catalogue, would be having 4 or 5 rotating song slots on the setlist, but I don't think Maiden will change their ways in that regard at this point.
