They will be recording at Roy's next door to stick it to him! :D

    50th Anniversary Documentary Announcement

The only way I know it is that most bands in Metal make their profits from physical products, including CDs and DVDs. I can't agree at all with the idea that the profit comes from streaming. Maybe people think that because it's more modern media.

Philip Näslund has a collaboration with Gibson. https://www.instagram.com/naslundmusic/reel/DHWLJXqC_ap/ The tour ends in Los Angeles. Could that mean they will then enter a studio and record new songs there?

    50th Anniversary Documentary Announcement

That would indeed be the decision to be made if you want to produce a documentary about a band: Should it be a) a realistic description of the band's journey, which includes mistakes, controversies and bad times, or b) should it be a pure celebration of the band, which is portrayed as having...

    Steve Harris

I don't think this interview published on "Guitarworld.com" ("Bass Player") has been shared yet? Steve talks about his basses (and about the fact that he has more gray hair now than in the past). https://www.guitarworld.com/artists/bassists/steve-harris-iron-maiden-fender-precision

But the documentary will be released in the fall, not in March as claimed in this fake news.

    Adrian Smith

The album is not in the “Soundcheck” list of Metal Hammer Germany. Normally the editors grade the upcoming releases, then a ranking is made based on the average score (Arch Enemy's album won this month). I’ve gone through the list several times now because I thought there was something wrong...

    Adrian Smith

So, now we finally have something about Smith/Kotzen in the new Metal Hammer Germany. I can go through it and translate interesting statements if anyone is interested. Anyone interested? I've already seen at first glance: The management has banned: Question about Nicko McBrain/Simon Dawson...

    18th Studio Album discussion

I agree. That would be a huge surprise to me. Then they would have released 2 unremarkable singles and hidden the good songs so far.

I would also prefer it if they focused more on Maiden, simply because I think we would then get more interesting music.

I didn't expect Roy Z to be part of the tour. After what he said on Facebook and not just once and what was done/said from Bruce's side we don't even know. You have to ensure a good atmosphere during a tour and that would certainly have been a strange atmosphere.

Yes, it is somewhat ironic that after such a long time he released an album that sounds like “declared finished far too quickly”. I don't think it sounds unimaginative/uninspired either.

I hope there will be some European dates, but I would have thought it would be a US tour. Was that just your idea, or is there a hint from Bruce?

Really? I mostly hear very generic rock music elements.

How will Simon Dawson change the look and sound of Maiden?

Do you think there might be fans who would resent Simon if he didn't stick to Nicko's “no double pedal” tradition? Personally, I don't care what technique he uses, it's the result that counts.

If you're a public figure and you know you might be recognized at an event, you usually check if there's anything you could get yourself into with that or have management check, so I'm puzzled by this whole thing.

So that's why he chose Pantera of all bands. Now I understand. :D There was even second controversy here, whether it wouldn't be an inappropriate money-making scheme to have Pantera go on tour without Vinnie Paul Abbott and Dimebag Abbott, instead with Phil Anselmo, with whom Vinnie was deeply...
