I think it's safe to say Bruce was exaggerating the mindblowingness of the first 30 minutes though, which was what I think most expected. There'll probably be at least one similar category surprise as Killers within that limit still.
I figured it was going to be a sort of semi-chronological thing where we start from Killers, end up at Fear, then go into IM for the song and maybe some of the encore till we end with RTTH.
Also can that fucking screaming cunt next to the phone shut the fuck up already? Jesus Christ. You'd think he's the guy being killed in the fucking song judging by the noises he's making!
I'm surprised they kept the original Murders intro rather than going straight into the song after Ides like they did in '05. It... kinda kills the pacing, honestly.
Judging by the size of that lighting rig, I'm guessing they did in fact read all the complaints about how small the stageset looks in a stadium setting. Complaining works, every time!
I don't think we've ever seen the drums before the actual show, have we? They keep them pretty well under wraps until it's showtime, same with the rest of the stage dressing.
Reusing the Aces High single cover art? Yeah, that's the logical explanation. Never mind the fact that the protagonist of the song Tailgunner is indeed a tailgunner and not a fighter jet pilot.
They most certainly have never played anything in soundchecks that didn't make it in outside of maybe something like Wrathchild which they can probably rattle off with no rehearsal whatsoever. They've played songs in rehearsals well before the soundcheck or production rehearsal that didn't make...
It's a little strange to occasionally remember that oh yeah, there's extra interesting stuff to look out for since now even the Trooper and Fears are potentially interesting to hear on video/stream if only for how the new guy approaches them drums-wise. Same goes for Simon's whole setup...
I can't even begin to fathom the amount of gnashing of teeth Maiden could cause by playing a cover song in what's quite possibly a 15-song setlist. So they definitely should, in other words!
