RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Was it? It was speculated, but as far as I know, there wasn't a single indicator towards it being even considered/rehearsed. The "Cyborg 5" in the poster indicate that five Somewhere in Time songs will be played, but the discussion around the 5th song being Sea of Madness or Alexander the Great...

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Out of curiosity, what kind of a show you'd find impressive and special? I don't even want them to deviate from the Maiden stage show traditions too much, but at the same time there's nothing indicating that the marketing talk about doing "things we've never done before" and the show being...

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

While I'd certainly advise people to rein their wildest expectations a bit, I also doubt that the band, at this point, looking at their setlist approach ever since The Book of Souls tour, would book a huge two-year world tour to basically only play the stuff they've already auto-piloted through...

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Right, things are looking clearer for me now. I will most likely be able to attend the Helsinki show! Quite excited about that. I'm very happy if they'll play a couple of big songs that they've done previously with this line-up, but just once (=one tour), like Rime, Icarus and/or Killers. I...

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

To all my fellow setlist speculators: I will count the scores for each entry in the RUN FOR YOUR LIVES - The setlist contest thread somewhere down the first two weeks* of the tour! I shall request the thread to be opened again when I have the leaderboard and all settled. :) *I might or might...

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Closing with Prowler would be cool too! However, I think that Flight of Icarus absolutely deserves to be played live again. It's one of those shorter 80's classics that fit the current groove of the band perfectly, Bruce's mature voice & style of vocal delivery works just fine for it and...

Blaze Bayley - The X Factor 30th Anniversary Tour

Very excited for the show in Helsinki! I was planning to go there anyway (before it was announced that The X-Factor will be played in full), but things certainly got even more interesting now. I've always had a very soft spot for that album, despite some of its weaker qualities, and I enjoy it a...

I’ve never listened to this album

Futureal, the opening track, is certainly a strong one! I think there are some other good tracks as well, but as @Abas mentioned above, the album also delivers quite an overkill when it comes to repetitive choruses. In my opinion, the album also has a handful great solos by both, Dave & Janick...

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES - The setlist contest

Yeah, although they did play it (and FOTD) on a tad bit more "middle-set" kind of a position in 2022. Thinking about it now, it was actually rather strong sequence: Sign of the Cross, Flight of Icarus, Fear of the Dark, Hallowed, 666 & Iron Maiden.

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES - The setlist contest

Agreed. However, I would absolutely love to see songs like Hallowed and/or Run to the Hills being played a lot earlier than their usual spot has been for a very long time. Run to the Hills, for example, is a great closer, but being played early on would be a great way to "fake" some freshness to...

    Maiden Lookalikes

Apparently Maiden & The Mandrake Project tours aren't enough for Bruce this year, as he seems to be touring dance halls in Finland as his alter ego, "Kari Vepsä." It's not that far off, right?

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Regarding Sanctuary & Running Free... My opinion (not prediction, mind you): ONLY RUNNING FREE GETS PLAYED - I'm okay with that! It's good fun BOTH PLAYED - I think it's bit of a waste for the setlist space, but oh well, can't help it if they enjoy playing them both so much ONLY SANCTUARY...

    Blaze Bayley

A very strong setlist indeed! I wonder how things will roll from now on; is the remaining Absolva group interested in finding a new guy anytime soon, and/or is Blaze planning to hire one for the live shows, as I'm rather doubtful that he'd be doing all those Maiden set shows with just one guitar.

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Well they did exactly that with The Legacy of the Beast tour. That being said, I don't think that the art collage necessarily hints towards that many, if any, songs themselves, but works more as a "setting up the aesthics & mood" thing - a bit like The Future Past posters & whatnot did, as...

Absolutely! Good that you mentioned it, apparently I forgot to include a mention about edits in the opening posts. @PhantomOfTheOpera put it quite well: Updated the rules. :)

    18th Studio Album discussion

They can and could, but the thing is... do they want to? Is it something the whole band is ready to commit for? I remain doubtful!

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Honestly, I think he's referring to some of the old(est) material they're most likely dusting off for the first time after 1999-2005 (or even 1993, if they'll open with Be Quick or be Dead, but I'm not too sure about that); Murders in the Rue Morgue is a possibility, Killers is definitely...

Iron Maiden's management: What went wrong?

Well to be fair, Maiden album sales have often been more than double in Europe alone when compared to U.S sales, so they absolutely have sold significant amounts worldwide; in that sense, 100 million copies, live albums and other shit included, is not that big of a stretch. Not sure if...
