The Final Countdown is a gem and is far more metal than many of the other songs in the game.

Easily my favorite part of the song. I love the way each layer is added in its own meter, doing its own thing but somehow sounding great together. Then when the rhythm section enters it just all gels. But I also love the chorus, as simple as it is. I actually prefer it to the sequel’s chorus.

I love DT12. The Accolade isn’t even the best song on The Divine Wings of Tragedy. Nor is it the second best.
