Speaking of Lord of the Flies, that song sounds 100 times better live, as great of a studio song it is. I didn't see it in concert, but I've seen videos of it.

You told us about your life and dreams, but everyone died of boredom. I wish Iron Maiden would play a private show just for me.

To me, each singer, Paul, Blaze, and Bruce, have a unique "edge" of there own that cannot be recreated live by another one of those singers. Paul has his raspy, angry voice, Bruce has his operatic style that can't be matched, and Blaze has his low, yet full of emotion and anger voice.

I've said this in many other threads before, but I prefer each vocalist to their own work with the band. I never really liked Bruce covering songs from the "Di'Anno" or "Blaze" eras. But that's just me personally.

I couldn't agree anymore, Bruce doesn't have the emotion Blaze delivered in that song. When Bruce performs that song, it sounds like he is talking the whole way through, sustaining certain notes every once in a while.

I prefer Paul in this song too, as well as all of his Maiden songs, as you would see in my previous post, but Bruce pulls of that beginning wail pretty damn well!

It's great to have you here Xodus! Glad you stumbled upon this particular forum, the best one around as far as I can tell.

I don't exactly remember my first encounter with Eddie, but I do remember being drawn in and very interested in the band after seeing him. As one of the above posters has stated, I think Eddie brought more fans in, rather than repel them. His image is just too cool to pass up.

To me, Bruce should stick to his own work with the band. I only prefer Blaze to his own Maiden material, as well as Paul to his. But that's just my opinion. I never thought too highly of Bruce covering the first two albums or the Blaze albums. He comes up short when he is performing songs such...
