A 57’ strat would have come from the factory with a single ply white pickguard - the mint green 3-ply version didn’t come along until 59’. I think there was some discussion about the Kossoff strat being a partscaster with a 60’s body and 50’s neck.

I would personally like to see it with a plain white pickguard and double cream humbuckers. I assume he is stuck using Seymour Duncan products though, which rules out the double creams due to Dimarzio's stupid copyright.

That is hideous looking. The Zebra pickups are too busy here and at a minimum their cream should match the white of the middle position JB Jr pickup. Thank god it was temporary!

And a pair of Lado Earth models as well. Where is this screenshot from?

Further, the one Adrian is holding is a two tone sunburst, the Reverb listed Dave one is a three tone sunburst (red between the black and yellow fade).

This photo appeared in Ross Halfin's "What are we doing this for" book, with a caption that it was taken in Dallas Texas in March of 1987.

It is an ESP. This photo session is the only time it ever surfaced to my knowledge.

At the Smith/Kotzen acoustic show this week, Adrian had two guitars- his Gibson Hummingbird and this Taylor, which I think is a 914CE.

    Maiden Lookalikes

I've always thought that Dave Murray's wife looks way too much like him.

I saw them on the US leg of the tour which was several months after the video in Stockholm was recorded. I can't recall which songs he used it on.

No, he used the sonic blue ESP strathead. I was there for several shows on the tour, and it was not his old electric blue 22 fret lawsuit headstock ESP artist series (sold as the SE-190DM by ESP).

The sonic blue ESP strathead was also used in the ensuing No Prayer on the Road tour.

Can't wait to see this new guitar with those three new output jacks installed. The additional cables will give Janick something extra to twirl around stage with on the upcoming tour.:innocent:

Based on some other pictures I have, he first had it on the Japanese leg of Somewhere on Tour. I have never seen it played during a "regular" Iron Maiden show.

Here is a screen shot of Dave’s new guitar, taken from a youtube video. Looks to be a roasted maple neck with ebony fretboard.

Here is the best picture I could get of Adrian’s guitar cases from the Roseville, CA show. Sorry for the fuzziness, but the labels might be helpful. - White main - White backup - Green main - C

This '62 strat claiming to be formerly owned by Dave has shown up on Reverb. They claim to have "written verification" from Dave that he owns it, but to me it looks as legit as a $3 bill. Based on the pictures, I am not even sure which guitar of his they are claiming it used to be. Certainly not...

I love how Dave just has one guitar on his side of the room, guessing it is the cream colored rosewood board ESP he used during the 7th Tour.
