Listen...we can say what we want. It has been 6 years since any original maiden music. This song is something different and a real Adrian tour de force. Bodes well for the album Trying to get a great sound out of it on my various systems

Great synopsis of the recent writing cycle within Maiden. Since the reunion there has been a pattern and it probably won't change too much on the next album. Steve writes with Janick.....Steve writes with Adrian and/or Bruce....Bruce writes with Adrian or on his own. I'm hoping for more Steve...

You could be right but if I was putting money on it I reckon we're getting an album in excess of TBOS running time. The pattern is there in terms of increasing album length. Let's hope for something special

Totally agree. One of my favourite reunion songs has been WTWWB. Amazing song. Really suited the mood of the book/film which I remember watching at the time.

Probably just Maiden being cryptic. Could be related to the video though. It is all very exciting. Hope Steve produces a 20 minute epic. I think it would be apt if he wasn't outdone in the epic stakes by Bruce before the unmentionable... Anyway the best Maiden epic ever is TROTAM...IMO.

Love the x factor cover. It's reversible which you probably all know. Remember buying the vinyl in 95 and the sales assistant was like "that's a grim album cover." I just said it suits the band and their state of mind at the time. Great album. Heavy as you know what. Not long now

I think one of the previous posters has a source that advised then that the new album is being released on September 3rd. It's a few pages back somewhere within the maelstrom.

You could be right. It's just that usually the first song released is quite fast paced. That's assuming BF is the first single. It may not even be a song title but it's fun to guess. If not then it does sound like an epic.....

Going for Belshazzar's Feast as the single title and they will release album details at the same time. Probably a fast paced rocker written by Bruce and Adrian. Should be fun whatever happens

100 percent agree. I'll be happy with whatever they do as long as it's anywhere near the standard they have been producing since the reunion.

I reckon Maiden are going to pull something special out of the hat this time. I think it will be at least a double album and possibly a triple. I'm hoping for a triple album with around 15 songs. I can't even fathom the immensity of that though. Not long until our patience is rewarded.

I actually like DOD cover. I have a personal connection with the album though. A holiday in Portugal and numerous bottles of wine were involved though. It was 2003 after all. Anyway back to the new album. We're on......Just under 2 weeks.

It's going to be a long wait until the 15th July however after this length of time it will be well worth it. 2015 is a long time ago but obviously the pandemic had scuppered Maidens plans which is understandable.
