I messaged the guy who runs my local record store on Facebook and he said he might even get it in on the 1st. So come September we'll probably see physical copies abound everywhere.
I have 9 songs in mind that I'd put in a top 10, but I can't definitively rank them. In chronological order:
Phantom of the Opera
Hallowed be thy Name
Revelations
Powerslave
Caught Somewhere in Time
Wasted Years
Dance of Death
The Legacy
When the Wild Wind Blows (I've previously considered...
I would do anything to hear Caught Somewhere in Time. My dream is for them to resurrect the album on a future tour, unfortunately I know that's very slim though.
My favorite on the album, and one of the best 90's songs.
I'm going to revise a point I said earlier on this thread. Caught somewhere in time DOES have the best solos in Maiden's history.
Phantom of the Opera
Prodigal Son
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Revelations
Powerslave
Caught Somewhere in Time (very close between this and Wasted Years)
The Evil that Men Do
Public Enema Number One
Fear of The Dark
Judgement of Heaven
The Clansman
Toss up between Blood Brothers and Dream of Mirrors...
Does anyone know when a pre order from the Maiden site will arrive ? I also noticed amazon has no cd version shown..strange. I might just have to grab one at my record store on the 4th.
When considering the first 7 and most recent 4 albums, I think I'd honestly put 7th Son at 11 out of 11. I find it's the album I'm often the least motivated to listen to.
Shoot, I've listened to all 4 90's albums more recently than 7th Son.
I honestly might say that also..it's probably impossible for me to definitively rank all 15, since I sincerely do enjoy every single one, and don't believe there's any bad ones. But Somewhere in Time is my #1, then possibly Peace of Mind, then Dance of Death.
