I would like to be proven wrong. However I am 99% convinced there will not be another Maiden studio album. There will probably be no more tours beyond 2027 as well.

We need to embrace the fact that they are coming towards the end of their career as a band. Personally, I think the discussions of a new album are delusional. They soak up any downtime with extracurricular activities and don’t seem interested in going into the studio.

I agree. It was great to hear both of them though. SOTC was a highlight for me in 2018 and 2022. I’m so glad I went to Download in 2022 to catch the song again. Peter Buck from R.E.M. His playing is a master class in rhythm guitar and broken chords. His right hand is so clean and accurate.

I missed the 2010 tour. I’m still bitter about it! I had just finished university and was broke. If they played Paschendale for the whole touring would have been even more gutted.

Metal fans can often be the worse culprits of accepting music outside of their usual parameters. It’s just a tribal thing, as they have apparently been persecuted so long for their music tastes… Sorry for the massive generalisation and sarcasm.
