Brave New World had some in places for the vocals, for sure. The Thin Line Between Love and Hate is an example. Would have been good for Blaze as well.

The middle section melody played by Dave in "When Two Worlds Collide" would have been cool on a Somewhere in Time track! Sounds very "Blade runner" :)

With a bit of guiding from a good producer, he is an excellent singer! He hasn't worked with a real producer since 2004 though (not in Maiden either). But an upcoming Andy Sneap brought the best out of Blaze back in the day. I believe that the track "Stare at the Sun" is his finest vocal...

Who was auditioned to replace Blaze?

Search for a completely new singer. That's what Steve thought they would do at first, when Blaze struggled on tour, according to the Run to the Hills biography. Originally he didn't think that Bruce would return.

The If Eternity Should Fail demo sounds like it was recorded over basic Superior drummer samples, but great to hear it. You can buy that program for like 300 euros: https://www.toontrack.com/product/superior-drummer-3/ I'm sure Bruce's version could have been stronger than Maiden's, if it had...

Maybe Mistheria will play some of the solos on keytar? He's a skilled player.

Bruce's top 10 songs on Spotify. Tears of the Dragon is getting a lot of plays, but otherwise it's nothing compared to Maiden's top tracks in popularity. I wonder if the next album can scale things up for him?

I think that's the biggest article Metal Hammer has given him since the release of Silicon Messiah (they rated it 5/5, just like Brave New World).

The Wicker Man - another inspiration?

No, Blaze said that he recorded a demo of Blood Brothers in 1997 (and it was probably Steve's own recording). The Mercenary, Dream of Mirrors and The Nomad were the other tracks used. The Wicker Man on the other hand, was written by Adrian, Bruce and Steve in 1999.

The Wicker Man - another inspiration?

Another version of that riff is also played during the verses and the solo in Futureal, which Steve wrote alone (while Blaze composed the vocal parts). I actually think that part inspired Adrian, playing Futureal during the Ed Hunter Tour, and not the other tracks. :)

The X Factor: individual album judgement by yours truly

I think 2 A.M. is also inspired by Blaze working in a hotel as night porter during the 80's, and some of his feelings during that time.

Then at his own shows this year, he played 10 songs from his current band, 4 songs from the BLAZE days, and just 2 Maiden tracks (Man on the Edge and Futureal), so it's not like he is turning into D'iAnno 2.0 fully...

At festivals it's the Maiden set now days usually. Perhaps that's what promoters are asking for. He has actually done a lot of festivals in recent years, and perhaps it's easier to get a gig if it's mainly an Iron Maiden set, and the money is probably decent. It's allowing him to pay his...
