The X Factor is the worst Iron Maiden album, by far. (It's still worth an occasional listen, though, as nothing Maiden ever made is actually "bad".)

They are definitely the 2 most grim and depressing Maiden albums, in my opinion. Both to me feel gray and oppressive and are hard to listen to.

Are they? I haven’t followed them that closely and don’t recall anything satanic about their show in 2003, but if they are, that’s disappointing. I guess the pretty little blonde lady singer growling like a huge demon might have been a giveaway..

Adrian barely moves, and he's not a soulless performer. For a longer performance, they wouldn't have to be motionless and dead. Maybe just Bruce wouldn't be running and leaping so much. Who cares? Do Bruce's leaps make a Maiden concert? I'd rather have more music and less jumping around...

Best opener I saw for a Maiden show was Arch Enemy in 2003. I had never heard them before and was pretty blown away. All of the nepotism bands sucked. Ghost was wannabe-satanic garbage, in my opinion. Maiden should drop the opening bands and start doing 3 hour shows.

The live versions of The Red and the Black and The Great Unknown are close to top 10 territory for me.

Wasn’t Clive supposedly a heavy partier, too much into the rock and roll lifestyle, like Paul? Steve only wanted guys that were 100% dedicated to the music. I read that story somewhere. Since Clive’s playing sounds good to my ears, this theory makes more sense to me than that his performances...

I guess they'll be no live album & DVD for LotB tour. It would come out after the 2019 tour, too soon before the next album.

The only thing about The Red and the Black that makes me scratch my head are the lyrics. They are the most inscrutable that Steve has ever written, in my opinion. Very hard to decode on a deep level.

The 7-minute instrumental section is my favorite Maiden moment. I just totally bliss out on it. It's such a great ride. I wish it was 20 minutes!

British Lion is more important that a new Maiden album, dude! The whole world is dying for a British Lion tour! They rock!!! (Okay, actually they suck. I really don't get what Steve is doing with this project...)

I think Maiden transcends business. To me they are a spiritual force. Maiden isn't even Steve, Bruce, and the boys. It's bigger than them.
