They also said they would do a R40 tour whichd be next year, so i wouldnt rule them out. On the Sonisphere note 7 days till launch means 2nd December, i know its close to the Hellfest date thus makes it look more like Maiden but wouldnt they of arranged it on same date to have one big announcement.
