Well, I was just kidding trying to show how difficult it is for me to vote with the quality of remaining albums. But of course I'll keep on playing.
On the other hand, I'm not a Blaze or Paul hater. FOTD and NPFTD are way worse than X factor and the debut album.
Iron Maiden and X Factor. And it has been tough.
Once these two are out, I won't be able to play anymore until I'm needed to protect AMOLAD which is Maiden's best.... but will not win.
I know! I've been following your list daily. It's been real fun!!
At the same time I must admit that we have really diferent ratings for a lot of songs. This being one of them. Starblind another. And most songs in AMOLAD will rank higher in mine.
I'd love to make such a list someday, but...
Lower.
By the way, I will never understand how can anyone drop The Duellists out of Maiden's top 30 (even 20).
Vocals and chorus are pretty good, and the instrumental part is absolutely awesome. Some of the best material Maiden has every written.
I'm really pleased with the Book of Souls Tour setlist.
Lots of BOS stuff plus Powerslave, Children, Wasted Years... which are not overplayed by any means. Not even Blood Brothers is.
And NOTB, Trooper and Halloweed... Come on. 95% of the audience is willing to listen JUST those three songs...
As we all can imagine, a list like this leaves out many of our personnal all time favorites. Anyway, mine is:
1- Rime of the ancient mariner.
2- Infinite Dreams.
3- Halloweed be thy name.
4- Book of souls
5- The Talisman
6- Dance of Death
7- Powerslave
8- When the wild wind blows
9- Children of...
1- Where Eagles dare
2- Wasted years
3- Where the wild wind blows
4- The evil that men do
5- The red and the black
6- Phantom of the opera
7- Two minutes to midnight
8- The Talisman
9- Dance of death
10- The trooper
11- The longest day
12- Ghost of navigator
13- Montsegur
14- Infinite dreams...
