I would liked to have seen any date on the Ed Hunter Tour. I would also would have liked to have been at Rock in Rio 2000. I did not choose Hammersmith 82 as I saw them headline a small club that same tour. Simply amazing!

Really pleased with the setlist. Will try and see them later this year. I've actually seen Priest live more times than Maiden. Edit: nobody seems to complain when Priest plays Breaking, Livin', Metal Gods, You Got Another Thing, etc. every tour. Nor does anyone seem to complain that AC/DC's set...

Again glad for schmucks like me who will be waiting to see if I will have a chance to see the show live next year that there is some footage to see. Given the fantastic visual aspect of the show I'm sure that is why Maiden would like to keep fan video of it to a minimum. At least they haven't...

That wasn't my experience in the 80's I know bands want to see the crowd going wild and feed off that energy but at least I can still cheer myself hoarse.

Didn't used to be that way. American audiences have grown a lot more reserved over the years. But at Maiden shows in the USA it's mostly an older crowd around my age anyway. A lot of us can't headbang anymore even if we wanted to :p

Welcome! Nice post but I have to disagree about Simon. I think he's doing a fine job considering all the pressures he must be experiencing. And he will only get better as the tour progresses. Steve has played alongside Simon a lot and is comfortable with him and that goes a long way, too.

Aw, C'mon. It serves it's purpose. It lets the jaded fans here know it's time to go home so they don't have to suffer through the "boring" encore...

If they were ever to do avatars a-la KISS (which they won't) they way to do it would be to have Eddie "kill" the band members at the end of the very last show. Then raise them from the dead as "eddie-ized" zombies - then go play a residency at the Sphere in Vegas and make MILLIONS :D

I don't ever find some of the best songs from my favorite band of all time "boring". Weird concept I know, right? BTW, I don't hate you - just this poll. :D

Let's hope that's not the case. Edit: gone back and watched some footage. He seems okay demeanor wise and still moving around a bit. People have said Steve isn't running around as much either. They just could be winding it down now, they are all a year older.

Don’t forget Simon's small kit, reuse of Trooper Eddie, use of iconic "scream for me" and "Good night from Iron Maiden", and Janick not dancing enough (never thought I'd hear that one)

I'm a Maiden fanatic yet I know they aren't perfect and I don’t fawn over everything they do. I'm sure you all are talking about this dude I put on ignore a few days ago. Ignore is your friend!

So Maiden playing in Wacken in 2026 rests solely on you :D

At PowerTrip every song was a "deep cut" to that crowd :p
