Not triggered, just disagreeing. Trooper Ale came out in 2013. The song was huge before then. If it wasn't they would have named the beer something else for their first one I would think.

That is true. But the point was and is, Trooper was never an "also ran" My thoughts: Hell on Earth, widely regarded as the best song on Senjutsu. Drifter, concert staple thru their first 3 albums. Blood Brithers, done on multiple tours and a fav of BNW Moonchild, used as the opener on a couple...

The Trooper has always been a staple in their set. Encore in 1992 and both tours with Blaze with a quick search. You don’t put an "also ran" in the encore. The song gets arguably the biggest pop at their shows. It's an Iconic song.

    1. Agreed, Killers is indeed full of excellent tracks. 2. Nothing to do with being lazy. It was meant to be an intro tape, to play before the band hits the stage

This is the quote I was remembering: “If I closed my eyes at moments during that rehearsal it was like having Clive Burr back in the band”.

These two issues right here. Not saying everyone has to match my level of fandom for the band. Having a different opinion than mine is fine. If that weren't the case I would have blocked @GhostofCain years ago :D . (Luv ya, Ghost! Lol)

This. I have to say I don't enjoy logging onto Maidenfans as much as I used to. Maiden is by far my favorite band and though they are not perfect it's hard for me to be critical of them. I have my exceptions, of course (the 90's for one). Yes, they are past their prime but I think they still...

IMO at this stage in their career at ages this is a fine rendition of Aces. I think Bruce is adjusting, and that's a good thing. It's not 2008, 1999, or even 1984 anymore.

I fail to see how using a drummer you've played with for years and have a chemistry with is "lazy and lackluster." From what I've seen he's doing a fine job and if the band is happy with him then who am I to argue?
