No, you're not.  :)  It's very unique for Maiden.  I was struck by it for the first time doing dishes last night and it really stood out in my headphones. 

I love it when those two come together...Bruce solo and Maiden.

THis is probably my favorite verse melody of any song on the album.  I just love it.  I don't think the rest of the song is as good as the verse, but still quite fine...

I love this song.  This one surprised me. Nor do I.  Not one bit.

The middle breakdown section of 7th son is VERY apparent!!!  It's not exact because of that time signature hickey there, but it's quite close.
