Does performing a certain genre of music require being a certain type of person? I hope not. There are plenty of metal musicians that people say are very nice, and plenty of pop musicians that people say are dicks.

I like Virus. I think it's about a lower-tier Maiden song, which still makes it pretty good.

In regards to the audio quality itself, I have the CD but didn't even pop it in once: I downloaded a FLAC version and listened to the track on youtube and spotify. It's amazing how far guitar production has come in the last 20 years. You can get an outstanding guitar for 1000 USD or less, and any more than that is diminishing returns, usually because they're custom shop or hand made.

Joining in on the subject: 350bpm seems excessive. It's probably more logical to divide it by 4 and say it's ~90bpm, 16th notes.

I had no idea about the samples. At least it's not quantized, you can hear it's not perfectly on the beat all the time. Gives it a bit more of a live feeling.

You can't say that. These guys are very talented musicians. Listen to any track and you'll see they can play their instruments. These guys are allowed to have an opinion of Maiden just like you can have an opinion on Tyr. How they word that opinion is a different matter.

I really love Tyr's first 3 albums. The rest sound like generic power metal to me.

I don't see any themes throughout the album, let alone brexit. Honestly, it's a bit hard to even understand what Steve is on about in his four epics. Waiting for interviews to see what he has to say about them.
