    Ozzy Osbourne

Based on what Ozzy said in the announcement "the band replacing me are personal friends of mine", it will be either Judas Priest or Pantera. Most likely Judas Priest, since Pantera is playing the Aftershock Festival that same weekend.

    The Future Past tour 2023

Same where I live, Maiden always plays at the Jiffy Lube Live Amphitheater in Bristow, VA. But last year they played at the Capital One Arena in Washington DC for the first time. The amphitheater in Bristow is not bad and has great sound even on the lawn, but I preferred the atmosphere indoors...

    The Future Past tour 2023

Hell yeah! I love all his drum work, but my favorites are from Piece of Mind and Somewhere in Time.

Which songs never worked live as good as in the original studio version?

I agree. Even songs that are not my favorites like Sign of the Cross and Senjutsu sound great live and surprised me. But Black Sabbath and Judas Priest will always have a special place in my heart even though their stage shows are not as great as Maiden’s.

    Judas Priest

I hope they bring this same lineup to the US, more specifically to The Anthem in Washington DC which is a great venue with a big GA standing section. I saw them there on the Firepower Tour in 2018 and 2019.

    The Future Past tour 2023

THE FUTURE PAST TOUR - The Setlist Contest! WINNERS: blackie2380, MrKnickerbocker & Collin

I got 15 points, not too bad. I always knew The Writing on the Wall would be the third song.

Which songs never worked live as good as in the original studio version?

Both Maiden and Priest sound better live
  15. PieceofMind89

Why Judas Priest aren't as popular as Iron Maiden?

What about Sin after Sin, Stained Class, Killing Machine, Screaming for Vengeance, Defenders of the Faith and Painkiller? They still sound raw, heavy and timeless.

    The Future Past tour 2023

If they’re gonna replace Death of Celts for the N.A leg, then I would replace it with three shorter songs: Stratego, Wrathchild and Still Life.

    The Future Past tour 2023

To Tame a Land fits, Still Life would fit too.

    The Future Past tour 2023

I think the crowd will be "sleeping" during the Parchment too. It would be better to replace Celts with three shorter songs: Stratego, Still Life and Wrathchild which will make it a 17 song setlist. There's three songs from Senjutsu where the crowd goes crazy based on reaction from first show...

That will be the beer and bathroom break song, especially here in North America. But the rest of the setlist is exciting!
