My fear is that I buy tickets to some other city, and then they go ahead and announce a Denver date on June 26th.

That's what I'm thinkin'. Dammit... I'd hate to have to fly to Nebraska from the West Coast.

So, again... what about if you buy a ticket and can't go? There is a slim possibility I'm moving this Spring, further West. If I buy tickets to Lincoln, but can't use them, am I just out of luck? I know TicketMaster has Stubhub or whatever, but since you can set a higher price there, it wouldn't...

Actually, screw Albuquerque. Lincoln, NE is the same driving time, has a smaller venue, and is on a Sunday night... which is on my regular weekend of Sunday/Monday. The target is locked.

Their poster from last year has mummies with pyramids behind them... not exactly a by the numbers rip-off of Powerslave... but the implication was there. The headliners were Slipknot, Alice In Chains, and Five Finger Death Punch. Obviously... no Maiden. They're probably just doing the same thing...

I had to travel downtown. It was rough. Took me like 15 minutes. Outrageous. All kidding aside, though, I did fly to Vegas in '13 specifically for the Maiden England show... even though I'd already seen it in Denver. Really glad I did... made it even more of a big special event.

Would absolutely love to see Maiden & Priest again. Priest said no touring 'til 2018, though. Saxon would be a fantastic choice. Really looking forward to the UFO/Saxon double bill here in the states this Spring.

Bruce "slipped" and said they'd be back in both Chicago and Denver. Maybe the idea of them at RiotFest was for 2017, and not 2016 like some of us imagined. I'd rather have a regular quick bus-tour summer shed thing, though. Keep in mind, too, that they played no Texas dates during the Ed Force...

Fingers crossed for a January announcement. That'd make the most sense, I guess. Get through the holiday merch rush, get through the holidays themselves, and then kick off 2017 with a bang?

I keep holding on to Nicko's comments from 2013 about a touring "Maiden-Fest" with a line-up similar to The Battle Of San Bernardino. I wouldn't be surprised if they've got that up their sleeves for the U.S. this Summer.

Just had a bottle with snow crab in the backyard today for late dinner. It was pretty damned good. Classic sweet(ish) English porter with dry chocolate and slightly bitter berry notes to it. And, when the sunlight hits the glass right... it really is red and black!

I guess my source was right about the timing... but wrong about the continent. High fives to the UK on the gigs. We can wait a little longer over here.

I hear tell we should be getting it soon. Our store sells more Trooper than anyone else in Colorado, I think, so I'm hoping we get a good amount of it.
