And lets not forget - when you're drunk and playing 'air-guitar' to maiden, you may start off trying to be cool as f*@k like Adrian, but you ALWAYS end up copying Janicks moves by the end of the song haha
Im not ashamed to say Im a Janick lover! After being there for 25 years I honestly dont think it would be the same without him - I think he brings a lot to the band that the others dont, particularly in a live setting - takes a lot more risks which sometimes pay off, sometimes dont. And he's...
Ha that wouldve been cool! Make a change from christmas in front of the tv with the family - couldve spent
Well for my 30th birthday we went to see the tribute band 'Maiden England' play at Trillians in Newcastle, that was almost ss good! They played the first 3 sides of Live After Death in...
Aye but somewhere a bit closer to home! Fair enough its on a bank holiday weekend but I dont fancy my chances of making it into work on the Tuesday morning if Im commuting from the southern hemisphere!!!
So I realised a few years back that Maiden played their first ever gig on the same day i was born - Saturday 1st May 1976. Meaning that the 1st May 2016 is not only my 40th birthday but also the 40th anniversary of the bands live debut.
Then when it was announced that theyd be touring in...
Yeah but from consecutive nights - somehow he cant hit the notes in Aces High on one night but on another he miraculously can all of a sudden? Both recordings were from the same week, not like it was months apart!
Dont know if it was ever proven but there were rumours about 'Live After Death' - particularly if you compare Bruces vocals on the album to those on the video/DVD, theres a huge difference in quality considering they were both supposedly recorded in the same venue on the same week!
I think its almost certain they'll open with If Eternity Should Fail - pretty much every album tour from Peace of Mind onwards has opened with the album opener (think X Factor may have been the exception?) Cant see them changing it now - if they were gonna go with lead singles then we wouldve...
I'll join in with this on september 4th. All those who've listened already can be divided into 2 groups:
1 - Havent paid/pre-ordered the album, so they've basically stolen it. You're thieves and I hope you feel suitably guilty.
2 - Those who have pre-paid/will pay for the album -...
Dont know why but Im expecting 'The Red and The Black' to be the repetitive one thats gonna annoy me this time round. Got nothing to base that on, maybe cos its Steve writing by himself or maybe its cos the title reminds me of 'The Angel & The Gambler', but for some reason Ive already taken an...
Back in the day I wouldve bought 7", 12", cassette single, and however many CD versions they were flogging! Much harder to be a completist in the digital age!
I think it counts if you pay 99p to download it, but if you get it for free (which I think might be the case for those who pre-ordered the album) then I dont think it would count.
Cant really see what the benefits are of downloading it rather than ripping from youtube - maybe the quality...
Metal Hammer should be worth a look tomorrow - interviews with all 6 band members apparently

I think we're well overdue a UK tour - its already 5 years since the last one! The pattern seems to be they tour when they've got an album to promote, then the rest of the time the whole UK fanbase has to travel down south to Twickenham, Sonisphere or Download!
Sadly the uk charts include audio streaming but not visual - so if you listen to something on spotify or buy a download from itunes etc then it counts. If, like me, youve been watching on youtube over and over again it makes bugger all difference...
On my lunch break at work, just watched it on an iPhone with a shitty cracked screen and I STILL had a big smile on my face! Love it, can't wait to get home so me and my neighbours can listen to it 'properly'!!
No Prayer for me. I was 12 when I first got into maiden round the 7th son era so this was the first album I actually waited for, bought in the store on day of release, then ran home and listened to it while reading along to the lyrics on the cassette sleeve! listening now I can hear the faults...
