I remember when Blaze was announced i was very happy. I liked Wolfsbane and thought Blaze could do a good job. I waited and waited in anticipation for the new album. When it finally came out i remember being hugely disappointed. Years later i appreciate the album a lot more but i guess a lot...
They probably have some if not all of the Hammersmith tapes but based on history, Maiden dont really release stuff that hasnt been available somewhere before, so im not expecting anything exciting.
I dont remember seeing anything in the press about either of those two. I dont think Steve would have wanted too big of a name or an American. Plus i dont think Rob ever really wanted to leave Priest and was always hoping for a return.
Neither would have been seriously considered.
I do find it odd that they refuse to drop FOTD (apart from the Early Days tour) and yet they dropped Hallowed. Fear of the Dark is great and works brilliantly live, but it is droppable IMO
The fact they have a new drummer gives me hope the RFYL tour wont be the last. Or at least it will last a while. If it was the last surely Nicko could have one more decent tour in him.
Much love and respect to Nicko. What a huge gap to fill. Probably my second fav drummer behind Bonzo. I think its right if the guys want to carry on for a few more years and im sure they have Nickos blessing.
Happy retirement old flat nose❤️
Maiden are still better live than most bands of their age out there. Even bands younger have dropped off so much with age. The only worry for me is Nic but hes hoping he can go a bit longer
I have my opinions on Bruces flaws as a person and at times he annoys the hell out of me. But at the end of the day i know of them cos i follow Iron Maiden and hes a damn brilliant musician in my fav band. The other stuff i can live with and im not gonna start a post purely made to slag him off...
