That's difficult and easy at the same time.
Songs considered:
Stratego
The Alchemist
Different World
Rainmaker
The Wicker Man
Futureal
Judas Be My Guide
Top 3 is easy :
1. The Wicker Man
2. Stratego
3. Futureal
Then it becomes more difficult... Probably
4. Rainmaker
5. Judas
I read some recent posts about best albums, best reunion tracks etc. I'd really like to know what are in your opinions the worst Maiden songs. Let's exclude the Blaze era, because I'm sure many of you will choose songs from that era.
It's a really difficult choice to make. There are some Maiden...
Today, I was at a bar in Athens to see Alice Cooper's band members live.
The size of the drum kit doesn't always matter. Glen Sobel ( the drummer of the band) played in a small kit (not his own) and he killed it. I haven't seen a better drummer live. In general the band was so tight. They played...
That's insanely difficult. I'd go PoM-Powerslave-SIT-SSOASS. It's really difficult to exclude POM or SSOASS...If I had a choice I'd exclude Powerslave and keep the other 3. Now I went with PS-SIT-SSOASS
Senjutsu isn't that bad. I find the title track and Lost in a Lost World/Death of the Celts so boring, but the rest of the album is really good, not exceptional. Hell in Earth is top tier song and Stratego is one of my fav shorter reunion songs. Not that bad overall
I said they seem unfinished, not that they actually are unfinished. I think they were supposed to be like that. Maybe the problem is that most of the songs on Killers are leftover tracks that didn't make it for the first album. Songs like Another Life and Innocent Exile seem too basic to be...
SIT can't be worse than Killers. Killers is the definition of uninspired. Most of the songs seem unfinished. I'm biased because SIT is my fav album, but even if it's not someone's fav, it can't be the worst off the first 7, because Killers exists. I get some people don't like the synths, but the...
Dance of Death is fine, it has some top tier songs, like Paschendale, Rainmaker, the title track, Montsegur, but it's inbetween their 2 best albums in the reunion era, 2 albums with 0 filler tracks. DoD has some fillers, for sure.
1. Somewhere in Time
2. Piece of Mind
3. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
4. Powerslave
5. Brave New World
6. A Matter of Life and Death
7. Iron Maiden
8. The Number of the Beast
9. Killers
10. Senjutsu
11. Dance of Death
12. Fear of the Dark
13. The Book of Souls
14. The Final Frontier
15. The X...
This will be difficult, I know exactly 1 Nelly Furtado song and 1 Smashing Pumpkins song. I can't think of any Maiden track that has the lyrics "maneater" and "bullet with butterfly wings". So, I will guess a cheesy 90s Maiden song. Hooks in you.
We have a winner! Nice one LosBastardos
Clue #1 The theme of this song is a recurring one in their discography.
Religion
Clue #2 There is a certain lyric in the chorus of the song, that reminds me of a Judas Priest song title off one of their best records. The theme of the Priest song is kinda...
