Hello everyone, J&R Music in NYC is blowing out old NOS vinyl LPs for 99 cents a piece. Today they had a 30% off sale on top of that. They've got 8-10 copies of a compilation album called "Maiden Australia" that features the Skyhook's original "Women in Uniform". Thought this might interest some.

What pressing? My US copy sounds great start to finish. Also, some skips can be fixed. One trick is rubbing your fingertip quickly back and forth over the damaged area until the friction heats up the area. Then quickly play the record through the scratch. I would use an old stylus for this...

Don't know about a top 10 BUT, I made a reel to reel recording of Piece of Mind from my pristine vinyl copy and Sun and Steel is a great tune! I don't have POM on my ipod and up until recently it was the one classic Maiden LP I was least familiar with. The 7.5ips tape sounds amazing on my system.

Just be glad he did. We wouldn't have X Factor. That would be the biggest issue imo.

Wow! I picked up a Nektar LP because I like Maiden's cover of "King of Twilight". The LP is called "...Sounds Like This", a double LP on the UK United Artists label from 1973. Great stuff, I can hear the influence that this had on Steve Harris. Anyone a Nektar fan? Other recommendations?
