The outro of Coma especially. You have Slash tearing it up in the background, but it's Axl's mix of bitterness and empathy in his delivery that really makes the outro worthwhile.
I think they will bury the hatchet eventually, but I think the ball's in Slash's court. Axl basically said once...
I kinda wish Slash got songwriting credits for it, but the liner notes were probably enough.
That's what I love about Axl's and Slash's working relationship, though. Coma was supposed to be Slash's baby, but Axl stole the show for me; likewise, Estranged was Axl's baby, but Slash stood out...
I'm charmed by the lack of Chinese Democracy votes yet. It's actually one of my favorite albums on here. Like I've said a million times before, I adore 9 of the 14 songs on there. I don't expect it to go far, but still.
City of Evil
Death Magnetic
Echoes*
Nostradamus
* I actually think...
November Rain is a brilliant song. I've probably said this before, but one of my absolute favorite GN'R moments ever is the "Lovers always come" section. Absolute magic. NR is one of the only songs in this top 10 that actually made my top 10. Only Estranged (#2), NR (#8), and Rocket Queen...
I voted for Estranged, but I meant to vote for November Rain.
Ah, the battle of the piano ballads. Funny how the song that took way less time to compose came out much better than the one that took nearly a decade.
I saw this video months ago because someone on a Guns N' Roses forum posted it to illustrate how much more humility Axl Rose has compared to Geoff Tate. Maybe the person who made that comment was from the forum. :p
But yeah, this is incredibly embarrassing.
Okay, Foro, here's what's going on.
You're arguing about what "best" should be defined as in this context (because any other way would be boring).
I'm arguing how "best" is typically defined in a context like this (as in when someone makes a poll saying, "What is Bruce Dickinson's best...
Definitions show you how a word can be used in different contexts (that's why they're numbered). The "most enjoyable" definition does not work in this context. I can look at Tyranny of Souls and acknowledge that that album is better than Skunkworks. It's not because I find it more enjoyable...
Since mckindog made it clear pretty early in the game that this was a favorites game (despite the title), I've been picking my favorite. :p All I've been trying to say is best and favorite are not synonymous.
If you preferred Taylor Swift to Freddie Mercury, would that make Taylor Swift the better singer? If you preferred watching your little brother play basketball over Kobe Bryant, would your brother be a better basketball player than Kobe Bryant?
Wow. Rocket Queen finished at #4 on my personal list as well.
The best part of RQ live was always that tacky rap Axl would do.
Still a great performance, though. Probably my favorite Rocket Queen.

Civil War.
What's your criteria? I think Brighter is much more developed and cohesive, and it has better riffs and better lyrics. But The Thin Line has better vocals, solos, and buildups, and it's more emotional.
