Powerslave is epic. But Piece of Mind is THE quintessential golden years Maiden album. To tame a land is criminally underrated. This is definitely a heavy weight match but i have to go with the dinner table here. In my MIND, PIECE is the main dish. OF course. Again just some food for thought.

Celts is being SERIOUSLY underrated on this discussion. Those melodies are freakin sweet and Bruce crushes. DOTC is currently my favorite song on the album. I really don’t care if it sounds familiar or reminds of the Clansman. The way it builds up and then explodes into the classic driving...

Skipping Celts while listening to this album is akin to skipping the filet mignon And filling up on all the side dishes. That song is fire. ( side dishes also delicious)

Remember Rush leaned in to some Asian sounds/ instruments on their song “tai shan “ back on the hold your fire album. It got mixed’ reviews to say the least. I thought it was ok. But I can totally see a bit of this on Senjutsu. Could be very cool if done right…
