Mysterious intro. Strange opener in some respects being target mid tempo. It does feel they are playing within themselves at times here. But that's a tremendous chorus (probably best on the album). Must say I love the outro! 8

Quite possibly my favourite post reunion track. The story is captivating. The structure is reminiscent of DoD with no real chorus yet the mellow verses still build beautifully to the darker, more aggressive second half. The heavier 'They've been preparing' segment is just brilliant. Awesome...

This has grown on me a lot. Hated it at first because of the chorus and I still don't enjoy Bruce at that pitch. However the rest of it is impressive and dark and the ending is so dramatic. 7

A complex, ambitious song but the different elements don't come together for me. I actually find parts of it boring which is not something I've ever said about Maiden. 6

I think the demo intro is really exciting and was a perfect intro piece for the tour at the time. I absolutely love the drums, however artificial. And the haunting vocals are great. Also the FF section is simple but great fun with a brilliantly catchy chorus. What's not to like ? 8
