Fear of the Dark is the best for me. Its got a special place in my heart because it was the first Maiden album I listened to. It’s in my Top 5 of Maiden albums, it’s very experimental and has some really good songs, which are very underrated, for example Chidhood’s End and Judas Be My Guide...
Iron Maiden: Raw
Killers: Powerful
The Number of the Beast: Beauty
Piece of Mind: Prime
Powerslave: Art
Somewhere in Time: Masterpiece
Seventh Son of a Seventh Son: Perfection
No Prayer for the Dying: Rarity
Fear of the Dark: Experimental
The X Factor: Dark
Virtual XI: BOLLOX
Brave New World...
Some songs on Killers are very meh, example Another Life and Innocent Exile, as said by Prowler, the songs are unfinished, the sound of Killers is better than the sound of IM for me, but Killers was worse song-wise.
Ok, this is my list, I’ve changed it a billion times but this is, as of today, my list:
1). Somewhere in Time (11/10)
2). Powerslave (11/10)
3). Seventh Son of a Seventh Son (10/10)
4). The Number of the Beast (10/10)
5). Fear of the Dark (8.5/10)
6). A Matter of Life and Death (8.5/10)
7)...
The self-titled album is the weakest for me, the sound is quite shitty and not very elaborate, they definitely improved their sound when Marvin started producing their albums, the sound evolution between IM and Killers is very noticeable and you can see a big improvement in the Killers sound.
Yeah Clairvoyant is an exception, I didn’t take into account that H needed the tremolo, but for example he used his x-stroyer for Fear of the Dark during TBOS for some nights (I think Wacken was one of them) so it would be interesting to see the Destroyer for Fear (for example) since it is one...
Other thing. It would be lovely to see H play all the drop D songs from this tour with the Destroyer to make the thing more interesting. I love the Jackson but the Destroyer needs more appearances IMO.
