Iron Maiden News, Links, and Interviews

My thoughts. I never listen to Two Minutes to Midnight, Revelations or Flight of Icarus, I find quite boring on record, but I've had fun each time I've them live. Maybe I will not fall asleep during The Darkest Hour, and I'm quite sure I will like The Writings on the Wall.

    Senjutsu - 3rd September 2021

Woah, an album sung in Spanish and a record by a French band. You're not the typical British guy. Edit : fantastic solo.

A huge disagreement expressed in civil terms :). Thank you for that :applause: :applause:

    Senjutsu - 3rd September 2021

I hate it. Unmelodic. Just try to whistle the vocal melody. I don't know how such a thing has landed on this fantastic album. I guess Harris penning four songs wanted to let room to the others, even knowing some of their contributions were not good. For me, it's the worst Maiden song ever, and...

    Senjutsu - 3rd September 2021

Kotzen's voice to begin with: unbearable. Smith's is not very pleasant either. And the sound. And the writing. But to be honest, there is not a single Smith record I've liked in the past. I'm really happy he can explore those paths out of Maiden.

    Senjutsu - 3rd September 2021

Gojira's album is actually really good. I used to dislike them a lot until they relesased Magma. The Smith/Kotzen thing is just completely alien to me: it's a bit like The Darkest Hour, I'm just unable to understand this music.

This. This will be the most obvious problem, apart from the harmonies.

That was not intended, as I have no idea what killed the man.

    Judas Priest

Well, I'm talking about something I don't really know, to be honest: I don't listen to AC/DC, never had, never will. I'm not worried about Maiden. They have already contemplated quitting. Steve said ten years ago he thought the band had some 5 years in them and Bruce's cancer really gave them...

    Judas Priest

I've begun to step away from Priest when Halford copyrighted the Metal God stuff: I thought this was pure nonsense and proved the guy was out of this mind. Now this. Someone compared this move to Maiden continuing without Steve. This would be pure heresy, but Maiden could at least try to find...

Hell. The man has gone through many problems during his life. At least, it makes him creative.

Fantastic album indeed. I wasn't mad for Emperor of Sand and its many songs built around the same structure, and I wasn't fond of the EP either. I really feared they had lost it and they proved me wrong. This album is more varied, with more musical passages, great vocal melodies and fantastic...

Legacy Of The Beast Post-Pandemic Leg

o_O I'm stunned. It's not like his vocal duties were really difficult to perform. Considering he is recording on a regular basis, I thought he was fit again. Seeing (on the Internet) Phil Collins performing on a chair was painful enough, and I don't want to see Ozzy in such a state.

    Steve Harris

Honestly, I feared he would look much worse. He is 65 after all, and you can bet that this control freak will lose all extra weight winthin a few months (he has already been a bit overweight for a few months, but that didn't last long).
